The Blog for Psych’s and Parents Alike

True Colors Blog

Where I encourage and discuss principles of truth and self

Hello! And welcome.

You guessed it. Not only am I a psychologist, but I am a philosopher. Do I love the mushy stuff? Yep. Do I sometimes preach? Yep. But am I always true to self and sure to check my facts? Absolutely!  Occasionally we’ll venture down the rabbit hole together and come out somewhere unexpected!

I hope you will find this blog to be helpful, interesting, inspiring, or at least a little humorous. I am a psychologist in Canada and while I have been in practice in schools and hospitals for more than 6-years, I recently moved provinces and had to go through the gruelling process of becoming registered in a new province. As such, I have some fun-loving but hope-filled blog posts about this process for psych’s looking for a common mind. I will continue to blog about things unique to the practice of psychology and I’m open to suggestions!

I also have posts geared for parents, as my primary focus in practice is childhood and adolescence, and I know my fellow parental figures are looking for a common mind and some psychological insights as well! Aren’t we all constantly seeking the answers???

Well, I must admit, I do not have them, nor do I claim to have the right and only answer for anyone. All I hope to provide is some perspective from one belief system and one path of training (mine), and some life experience with this area of focus. I hope I can be of service to you, and if not, maybe I can make you giggle along the way (or at least smirk under your breath), I’m cool with either 😉

Enjoy and thanks for reading!
